Fad diet works! Is that a myth?



How come you’ve slimmed down and I can’t; what diet are you on? Well, this are some questions we often ask our friends isn’t? And the answer they give is low -carb diets, master cleanse, grapefruit diet and even cookie diet. But do you know all these are fad diets? Fad diet is usually marketed as quick ways to lose weight. It tends to change from year to year, but the promises it makes do not. With a craze to lose weight fast ‘fad diets’ has escalated to epic proportions these days. 

Some people lose weight while following a fad diet, but most fad diets are impossible to stick to for long. They have strict rules that may make the diets easy to follow in the beginning but eventually the rules feel too restricting and you fall off the diet and go back to your old habits. And the irony is that some people even end up weighing more than what they did before starting the diet. That’s sad isn’t? 

However, it’s quite easy to spot a fad diet. When choosing a diet or weight loss supplement, it is always important to thoroughly research their effects first before incorporating them into your eating habits. If there are no clinical studies or proof that they can produce real and credible weight loss, then more often they are not too good to be true. So what say ready to get rid off the myth called "quick-fix" diet if you’re following one...
